For years, we kept hearing the same question: "Why 'Collabwriting' when you're not really a writing tool?"

Every conversation seemed to start with what we're not.

So, we decided it was time for a change, for a name that actually reflects what we are. A place to collect, share, and make sense of insights - better yet, clues that help you see the bigger picture.

When we started Collabwriting, our goal was simple: to help you collect, organize, and share snippets of information.

It began with the idea that all writing starts with research, and since the best insights often come from collaboration, the Collabwriting name was born.

Over time, we realized that users weren’t using our tool just to collect and collaborate around information in preparation for writing - they were building knowledge, connecting ideas, and using insights to act and decide faster.

After a few brainstorms, the name Cluing↗ was chosen as a name that perfectly reflects this evolution. ✨
